The Coach Education Programme is organised for the development and training of basketball coaches. The scheme provides an incentive to men and women to improve their knowledge of the game, assesses this knowledge, and enables England Basketball to maintain a list of active coaches prepared to play a part in the development of basketball in England.
The UK Coaching Certificate is an endorsement of sports-specific coach education. It ensures that sports are delivering the best available, player centred coaching in recreational, development and performance environments. It is a joint basketball development between England Basketball, Basketball Wales and Basketball Scotland. England Basketball has entered a service level agreement with Sports Structures to work as England Basketball's 1st4Sport recognised centre to deliver the England Basketball UKCC courses.
